Indian Library Puts Quranic Works on Display

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Salar Jung Museum Library has opened an exhibition, showcasing hundreds of Quranic and Islamic works on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

 

Opened on the 24th day of Ramadan in Hyderabad, the exhibition has put on display 400 works of Iranian and Indian artists. Hamzeh Ali Ghaderi and Goodarz Panahi Azad are the two Iranian artists that have showcased their Islamic and Quranic artworks in the exhibition along with a host of other Indian artists.

Furthermore, 12 other Indian libraries have participated in the event, showcasing more than 60 old Quranic manuscripts.

Another section of the exhibition is dedicated to Noor International Microfilm Center which has unveiled high-quality copies of 15 historic Quran tafsirs.

Co-organized by the Iranian cultural center in India, the exhibition runs through the 28th day of Ramadan.

Visiting the exhibition, Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali called for increased protection and restoration of manuscripts that are being held in Indian libraries, appreciating the efforts of Noor International Microfilm Center. Islamic heritage is part of a common culture of Iran and India, he said.
